Kairo Labs LLC ("Kairo") is built for users aged 13 and older. Kairo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA", 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506) and the FTC's implementing regulations.
1. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Kairo account. This is enforced at sign-up via an age attestation and is restated in section 3 of the Terms of service. We do not allow accounts for users under 13.
2. If you are under 13
Please do not create an account, sign in, or send Kairo any information about yourself. If a parent or legal guardian becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Kairo, please contact privacy@heykairo.io. We will verify the request and delete the information from production systems within 30 days and from backups as they roll off.
3. Teen accounts (13–17)
Users between 13 and 17 may create accounts. For these users we:
- collect only the personal information necessary to provide the Service;
- do not show targeted offers or marketing to minors;
- do not sell or share their personal information (we do not do this for any user — see Do not sell or share);
- apply stricter defaults for AI processing and precise location features;
- do not use their content to train AI models.
Parents and guardians can request access to or deletion of their teen's personal information by emailing privacy@heykairo.ioand providing documentation reasonable to verify the parental or guardian relationship and the minor's account email. We will respond within 15 business days.
4. For schools and families
Some teachers and families use Kairo to coordinate around students. When an adult creates and manages a shared Space, the personal information of any minors participating in that Space is the responsibility of that adult under our Terms. We do not market to or profile minors. We do not currently offer a school-administered or COPPA-verifiable-consent product; schools that need that should not enroll students under 13.
5. Parental contact
Parents and legal guardians may contact us about a child's data at privacy@heykairo.io. For mail, request the current registered agent address from legal@heykairo.io.
