Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Similar opt-out rights exist under Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA) law.

1. Our practice

Kairo Labs LLC does not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, or UCPA. We have no advertising business and never have. We do not allow third-party advertising cookies or cross-context tracking pixels through our pages. Your content stays inside the service boundary we control. This page exists because the right to opt out is statutorily required even when there is nothing to opt out of.

2. How to make a request

If you would still like to submit a formal request — or if California law later defines an activity we engage in as a "sale" or "sharing" — you can:

  • Email privacy@heykairo.iowith the subject line "Do not sell or share."
  • Include the email address associated with your Kairo account so we can verify your identity.
  • We respond within 15 business days and complete verified requests within 45 days, with a 45-day extension where law permits.

We also honor a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a Do-Not-Sell-or-Share request under California law.

3. Authorized agents

California residents may use an authorized agent to submit this request. We will verify the agent's written authority and may ask you to confirm directly before acting on the request.

4. Related rights

You also have the right to know, access, delete, correct, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and appeal a denial. The full list and the process for exercising each right are in the Privacy policy §7.

5. Non-discrimination

We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised this or any other privacy right.
