Is Free really free, forever?+
Swear to god. No card. No countdown trial. No "free until we find a reason." Personal spaces are unlimited at every tier; calendar interop is free at every tier. Free covers solo founders, freelancers, and students running their own week. If we ever change this, you'll hear it from us 30 days ahead — that's a written commitment in our Terms.
When should I upgrade to Pro?+
When it pays for itself. You actually have a team, you hit the 5-team-space ceiling, you want daily Ask Kairo use on a smarter model, you want talk-to-type, or you want the YouTube → doc and syllabus → tasks flows. Not before. We don't want you on Pro if Free still fits.
What does BYOK actually mean?+
Bring Your Own Key. Pro users can attach the BYOK add-on for $8/mo and route every Ask Kairo turn through their own Anthropic / OpenAI / Gemini account. You set the pace — five replies a week, five hundred a day, whatever fits. The $8 keeps Kairo running — context, memory, agent tools, doc generation, the whole product layer — and the add-on lifts your reply cap so heavy users don't run out at 500 turns/month. Pro is required because the product layer is Pro.
How is Kairo different from Notion / ClickUp / Slack?+
Notion makes you build the system before you can use it. ClickUp gives you every feature plus the configuration overhead. Slack forgets by Friday. Kairo handles the daily loop — capture → decide → act — with AI that actually reads your work. We picked one job and refused to be a kitchen sink.
How does billing actually work?+
Each person pays for their own seat. Your plan sets your personal Ask Kairo quota, document caps, and integration access — for you. You and your teammates can be on different tiers in the same workspace; everyone gets what they're paying for. Yearly billing saves you 2 months — same plan, two months free.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Settings → Billing → Cancel. You keep paid access through the end of the billing period, then drop back to Free with everything intact. No hoops, no retention call, no "are you sure" five times.
Do you have a Business tier?+
Not yet, and not on a roadmap timer. We'd rather ship Free and Pro extraordinarily well first than launch a Business tier that's just Pro with a price tag. If you need SSO, admin controls, or specific compliance posture today, write hello@heykairo.io — we'll talk before we build.
