TL;DR

Don't use Kairo for illegal activity, harassment, spam, fraud, malware, or to abuse the AI for harm. Don't try to scrape or reverse-engineer the platform. Don't impersonate other users or share your account. Anything else, you're probably fine.

The full document below is the legal version. The TL;DR is our reading of it, in plain English.

This policy describes how Kairo may and may not be used. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service and applies to every Kairo surface — the product, the website, our APIs, and any future integrations.

The short version

Use Kairo to organize your own and your team's work. Don't use Kairo to harm others, evade laws, or abuse the platform.

You may not use Kairo to

  • Break any applicable law, including export controls, sanctions, intellectual property law, or consumer-protection law.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) via Kairo or its integrations.
  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or other malicious code.
  • Store or share child sexual abuse material — we report this to NCMEC and law enforcement immediately and ban the account.
  • Harass, threaten, dox, or incite violence against any person or group.
  • Impersonate another person, organization, or Kairo itself in a way that misleads others.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan limits, security controls, billing, or access restrictions.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without our explicit written permission (see Security for our coordinated disclosure expectations).
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the product beyond the rate limits exposed via our APIs.
  • Resell or sublicense Kairo as part of a competing product without a written agreement.
  • Use Kairo to train a competing AI model or workspace product.

AI-specific rules

Kairo AI is a tool, not a person. You are responsible for anything you produce or send with its help.

  • Don't prompt Kairo AI to produce content that violates this policy.
  • Don't pass through restricted personal data of others (medical records, financial identifiers, government IDs) unless you have a lawful basis.
  • Don't use AI output as legal, medical, or financial advice. It's a starting point, not a verdict.

What happens if you violate this policy

We may, at our discretion and depending on the severity: warn you, remove the offending content, suspend access, terminate the account, and report to law enforcement. Egregious violations (CSAM, credible threats, ongoing fraud) get an immediate ban without notice.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes are announced via email to the account owner and posted here with a new effective date.
